ABSOLUTly Mango-licious

About a week ago I made a comment to the effect that the last thing the world needed was another flavored vodka.

Then I tasted ABSOLUT MANGO.

Yes, I admit that I'm a bit biased; my go-to drink of choice is an ABSOLUT CITRON and tonic, I admittedly 'have a thing for' fruity flavors, and I also happen to strongly believe in supporting the companies who support "the gays," and yet even without those biases, I'd still love this new option.

Even as I was sipping my MANGO and tonic- and loving it- my mind was also churning a bit and looking forward to even more flavors from ABSOLUT. You see, I read the press release, and it began with something like "...introduces its first tropical flavor, ABSOLUT MANGO." Yes- I added the accent, but clearly by mentioning that it's the first tropical flavor, they're implying that there will be more, no?

Given how delicious the MANGO flavor is (it makes a mean Cosmo, and gives a tropical twist to Sunday morning Marys), one can only hope that it's the first in a long line of fruity, tropically (it's a word now, trust me), juicy flavors that we've got to look forward to.

And just to help move things along a bit, I'm going to be buying ABSOLUT MANGO by the case to make sure they know how much we love it- and bring us more! Here are a couple more cocktails I like ::

ABSOLUT Mango Spice

1 ? Parts ABSOLUT MANGO
1 Part Mango Nectar
2 Slices Jalapeno
? Part Agave Syrup
? Fresh Lime
Dash Orange Bitters

Muddle jalapeno, agave syrup and mango nectar. Add remaining ingredients. Shake with ice and fine strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a jalapeno slice.

Sage Lady

1 ? Parts ABSOLUT MANGO
2-3 Leaves Fresh Sage
3 Cucumber Slices
1 part Simple Syrup
? part Cointreau
? Fresh Lime
Dash Peach Bitters

Muddle cucumber, simple syrup and sage. Shake with ice and fine strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a spanked sage leaf.
