Meet Aaron King : 'Take That' Tribute Band Lead Singer (aka ScallyMasterXXX)

EDGE: How did you get involved in adult content work?

Aaron King: It all started with a trip to Gran Canaria for Gay Pride. I met some content creators I recognized in a gay sauna where we began to talk about the adult industry. It is something I was always interested in doing, but just never seemed to get around to it. I have never been self-conscious or shy about having sex in front of an audience, and I'm also pretty experimental and open-minded too, which helps. They encouraged me to set up an account and start creating content. They even offered advice and a chance to have my first collaboration with them as a couple. I decided I would like to do it as soon as I returned home. I set up all the accounts needed, then started making content with my partner and some distant friends I knew were in the industry already.

EDGE: How much online content do you create?

Aaron King: I try to upload at least one full video per week, keeping it consistent throughout the year for my followers. That way, they are always getting multiple new and fresh videos for each monthly subscription. I like to be known for my consistency and variety of content.

EDGE: Does your content have a specific genre?

Aaron King: I try not to put myself in a certain category or particular genre. That way I can keep my options open, and work with many different people. I am quite a curious and experimental guy and so I like to try new things in videos and not do the same thing all the time. My image is of the British Scally/Chav, who has a reputation for being a working-class bad boy with a certain dress sense. It's something of a fetish in the British gay scene. It seems to appeal to a lot of people as it comes across as dominant and real and raw.

EDGE: There are a number of sites for adult content, why did you choose JustFor.Fans?

Aaron King: I like the ease of the upload system and the fact that they do actively help to share your content from time to time. It's also great that you can have friends on there, so you can chat to other creators.

EDGE: Do you put your content on other sites?

Aaron King: I also upload to OnlyFans but that is purely to widen my audience. I believe they're quite different. I also tease content on my twitter/X account and PornHub for promotion purposes.

EDGE: Are your band members aware of your online content? If so, how is it received?

Aaron King: Only one other member knows, and that is my partner, who is also in the band. I suspect one other band member knows through mutual friends, but nothing has ever been discussed and I have never confirmed or discussed it with them.

EDGE: Are you concerned they might find out?

Aaron King: I'm not concerned about them knowing, I am proud of what I do. And I am not shy to talk about it. But if they tell other people who I may not know, or if word gets around in the music industry – I like to keep the two jobs separate and independent of each other.

EDGE: Does your family know about your online work? If so, how is it received?

Aaron King: Only close family members know about it, and that's those who are in their younger years. Younger people have a better understanding of what it is, and how common it is these days. I find the older people have the mentality that it is dirty and naughty, stemming from the old days of porn actors and how it was so taboo.

EDGE: How does your partner feel about this work?

Aaron King: He's fully supportive of what I do, and even appears in some of my videos from time to time. He has another, very demanding, job, and doesn't have time to create content himself. I'm sure he would if he could. He sometimes likes to help with filming, and even suggests ideas for scenarios on the videos. We are an open couple, and are very honest with each other about everything. Communication is our strongest point, and why we are still a solid couple after 12 years together.

EDGE: How do you distinguish yourself from other content creators?

Aaron King: I watch what other creators do, and I make sure I don't do it the same way. I think I have a unique filming style on my videos. I often think about what I would like to see and what angles look good, and incorporate it into my filming. It helps that I'm pretty good at branding and designing, too, so I can create an image unique to myself. I like to talk a lot in the videos, too; sometimes I wear a wireless mic to capture the verbal commands and sounds, etc.

EDGE: Have you ever been trolled by "fans?"

Aaron King: Nothing really major, no, but I do sometimes get negative and unconstructive comments on open sites like PornHub or X. I just ignore those, though, and I only take it on board if it's constructive or a genuine suggestion.

EDGE: What's the worst experience you've had?

Aaron King: Working with a well-known U.K. based porn actor who has done large studio movies in the U.S. and was also big on JustFor.Fans. I had hoped it would help to push my profile and bring in extra followers, as he was so big online. I messaged him in the hope he would work with me, and we had a mutual friend, which helped. He replied and said yes straight away. But what I hadn't realized was that it's not always the best kind of person to work with.

I found him very difficult and arrogant in his demeanor. His experience made him believe he knew best on everything, which I was happy to go along with at first. But his whole attitude and expectations made me nervous and unable to perform as well as I normally would. This also angered him further, and he became quite rude and obnoxious. I finished the scene and left briskly, vowing never to work with him again.

When the video was released, it did absolutely nothing for my profile or followers, even though it looked good when I'd finished editing it. I learned a valuable lesson, and have since also learned that he has done the same with some other collaborators. He is apparently well-known for being arrogant and rude with people. It didn't help that he was much bigger than me in height and build. He was quite an intimidating person to look at.

EDGE: What's the strangest or most unusual request you've had?

Aaron King: I once had someone recognize me and ask if they could come round to my house and talk to me about my sexual desires. I said no, and that I didn't like to connect personally.

But the worst of all was when a follower wanted to come and fist me in one of my videos. I expressly told them that I was a top and certainly wouldn't be up for doing that. But that didn't stop them constantly messaging me about it. I also expressed that I only collaborated with verified creators. They started to report things on my profile, leading me to block them permanently.

EDGE: What's the most positive experience you've had?

Aaron King: Working with a young couple who had messaged me for a collab. They were both young, and keen to try a threesome on video. They were both absolutely stunning looking, and worked wonders in the bedroom. It was the best sex I have ever had, period. Everything just seemed to work perfectly, and the videos reflected this, too. They were so willing to try everything sexually, and we all loved the fact we had such a connection. We ended up filming two different sessions the same day. And, hopefully, many more in future.

EDGE: What are the negatives for you personally doing adult content creation work?

Aaron King: People take a negative look on it and lecture you about life choices, or they see you in a different light. My biggest negative, though, is how unreliable some of the younger performers are. You plan everything, book hotels, travel, etc., and they let you down at the last minute. Some of them treat it as a bit of fun, or like Grindr. They don't understand the level of professionalism required, and how much it costs in time and preparation. Generally, the older or more experienced performers don't do this, and are very professional about it.

EDGE: Your band is a big hit in the UK. How much time do you spend working with the band?

Aaron King: We are out most weekends, gigging all around the UK and sometimes Europe. At busy periods, like Christmas, we can be out four or five nights a week. We do the gigs so often that we don't need rehearsals; it's like second nature for us to do the show. The only time we might have a rehearsal is if we add a new song or change the set list around. This often means I am free throughout the week for my adult content, doing admin work for the band, etc.

EDGE: Do the band managers, publicists, etc. know about your online content work?

Aaron King: I manage the band personally, with my partner, so I don't have any management to speak of. Our agents who sometimes get us work would never know about our personal lives, and I certainly wouldn't have that conversation with them.

EDGE: Have the two careers ever collided?

Aaron King: I once got recognized at a show by an audience member who kept making sly gestures from the front of the stage. He came up to me after the show and let on that he knew who I was. He was being quite discreet, though, and knew that I probably didn't want to broadcast it. That was a close call.
