Gay Twitter Divided after Adult Entertainer Devin Franco Declares Support for Trump

Gay porn star Devin Franco came out swinging for Trump in a series of tweets that began with a comment on a post from "a gay guy who's left the Left," prompting both disbelief and agreement among his fans.
Fans know Franco from porn films "such as 'C*mD*mpSl*ts,' 'Hung F*ckers' and 'Teacher's Pet F*ster,'" Pink News recalled. He boasts "almost 500,000 followers on X/Twitter," the writeup added, before pointing out that he won "the 2021 best bottom GayVN award."
Franco threw himself into a public embrace of MAGA ideology with a comment of "100% agree!" to a tweet in which "a gay guy who's left the Left" declared that "today's Democrat Party.... [has] become a war-hungry censorship machine, cynically using identity politics and media manipulation to divide us - and lawfare to eliminate its political opponents."
On his own X feed, Franco followed up with a repost of a video titled "Brave PATRIOT fucks AR-15!" in which a man in a MAGA hat called people on the left "cucks" and proceeded to insert himself into a sex toy affixed to a long gun - using, he claimed, "liberal tears" as a sexual lubricant.
Some on X celebrated Franco's support for Trump, with one person responding to the gun-plugging video with "Holy shit you're awesome 🤣" and another raving, "Omg I fucking love you 😂😂😂".
Others promptly recoiled. "Devin Franco is a Trump supporter," one person posted. "It's time to take your thirst somewhere else kids. It's time to shamefully delete videos you've made with him."
Commenting on that post, Franco said, "lol you all have become the fascists you say you're afraid of. Bye 👋🏼".
Engaging further with the poster of that tweet, Franco went on to add, "Trying to do everything within your meager power to have a negative impact on my livelihood and income and how I support myself because we don't have the same opinion is fascism."
Several X users pointed out that Project 2025 - the 900+ page playbook produced by the hard-right, homophobic Heritage Foundation as a blueprint for drastically remaking the government and gutting protections for minorities, including LGBTQ+ people - will deprive content creators who offer explicit adult fare in exactly the manner Franco claimed his detractors were doing.
Others noted that even in advance of Project 2025's curtailments being implemented, right-wing politicians in some states have moved to censor erotic content.
Franco's response, Pink News relayed, was: "If you think Project 2025 is real, you're r*tarded."
