"500 Days of Summer" actor Chloë Grace Moretz threw her support to Vice President Kamala Harris in a Nov. 1 instagram post in which she also came out, declaring herself to be "a gay woman."

Posting a photo of a ticker saying "I Voted Early," Moretz wrote that she had "voted for Kamala Harris," and added: "There is so much on the line this election."

"I believe the government has no right over my body as a woman, and that the decisions over my body should come ONLY from myself and my doctor," Mortez added. "Kamala Harris will protect that for us."

The 27-year-old "Addams Family" voice actor then made it plain she wasn't just talking about protections for American women, but the country's queer citizens, as well.

"I believe in the need for legal protections that protects the LGBTQ+ community as a gay woman," Moretz stated. "We need protections in this country and to have access to the care we need and deserve."

"In 2018, Moretz played a gay teen who was sent to a conversion therapy camp against her will in the movie 'The Miseducation of Cameron Post,'" NBC News recalled, before noting that she has referred to herself as a longtime "activist for the LGBT community" because she has "two gay brothers..."

The writeup also pointed out that Moretz had become "clearly irritated when a reporter from The Independent told her that her name was included in an article about straight actors playing gay characters" during press promotions for "The Miseducation of Cameron Post."

"Well I think what's important is don't assume anyone's sexuality," NBC News quoted Moretz saying at the time. "I mean, across the board, don't assume."

Fans might have made an assumption, though, given that Moretz, NBC News said, "has been linked to model Kate Harrison for about five years. The pair often shares photos of themselves together on social media."

Moretz encouraged her fans to cast their ballots and not skip the election. "Let's get a plan together to get to your polling place with your friends!" Moretz posted. "Go to IWillVote.com to figure out the best plan for you," she said.
