"Scream 4" actor Nico Tortorella and his wife, Bethany Meyers, talked about switching away from "they/them" pronouns on the inaugural episode of their "Full of Shift" podcast, with Tortorella saying that he "feel[s] like a man more than I ever have in my entire life..."

"I use he/him pronouns at this point," Tortorella told listeners to his "Full of Shift" podcast on its Sept. 10 inaugural episode, Them reported.

Addressing co-host Meyers, Tortorella said, "You use she/her pronouns."

"Not to say that we're opposed to they/them pronouns," the actor and singer added. "I just really don't care about it in the same ways that I did back in the day.... I truly don't care."

The site noted that Tortorella and Meyers have been openly polyamorous, and recalled that "Tortorella originally came out as genderfluid in a video with Them in 2018."

"In 2016, the New York Post's Page Six published a story reporting Tortorella said he was sexually 'fluid' at an event hosted by American Express."

Tortorella's shifting pronouns were related to his career as an actor, the "Walking Dead: The World Beyond" star explained.

"There was something about gender and sexuality that allowed me to grow as a person first, but also as an actor," Them quoted Tortorella saying.

"It can even sound like I was an actor playing a role as a nonbinary person for so many years, or as a queer person, and now all of a sudden, I'm like a dad, and I'm playing this cishet role... but both of these things can exist at the same time."

As for feeling "more like a man than ever," the 36-year-old said, "It's such a great feeling. That's not to say that I won't feel more fluid in the future."

"Tortorella said that the pronoun shift happened around the time the couple had their first child, Kilmer Dove, as well as during Meyers' pregnancy with their second child," Them narrated.

During their fertility journey, Tortorella said, "we were just experiencing roadblock after roadblock after roadblock. And the pronoun conversation was this unnecessary roadblock that we were continuing to face head on."

For her part, Meyers explained that the use of "they/them" pronouns made it harder to "connect" with others, Them relayed.

"I'm like, 'Baby, I'm just trying to get a drink and have a conversation with you and talk," Meyers recounted. "It started to get in the way of my connections with people."

Some in the queer community accused Tortorella of seeking "clout" with his earlier use of "they/them" pronouns and his claims of being genderfluid and bisexual when Queerty posted on Instagram about the podcast revelations, Them reported.

"He ate up so many headlines that could have gone to legit trans and gender non-conforming people, do they get an apology for him scamming queer culture for a following and likes," one person commented of the Queerty post, "or is this story the next chapter in his 'brave journey.'"

Others were even more critical.

"'Cisgender, heterosexual, white man co-opts marginalized identity to stay relevant. Decides it's just not for him' I fixed your headline," one person commented.

"They were just a straight couple queer baiting everyone for clout," another posted, while a fourth person added: "His 15 minutes has been up for a while".

Tortorella responded to the comments with, "lol the comments. community at its finest. love yall."

But supportive comments also poured in.

"Identity is a fluid concept. So... Change your pronouns as much as you feel like," one commenter posited.

"Were always changing, nothing wrong with that ✨️," another posted.

Another summarized with: "The people in the comments forgetting that our community fights for people to be able to switch their pronouns without judgement."
