PopUps: Watch 'Mean Girls' Star React to 'Mean Girls' Day

READ TIME: 2 MIN.

Happy belated "Mean Girls" Day, everyone!

"Mean Girls" might be over a decade old but that hasn't stopped fans from reciting the movie's most-quotable quotes and bombarding its stars with them - especially this week.

On Oct. 3, which has been dubbed "Mean Girls" Day by fans across the globe, TMZ caught up with the film's star Jonathan Bennett in West Hollywood.

"Do you know what date it is by any chance?" a TMZ reporter asks the actor.

"I knew this was going to happen," Bennett replies with a laugh. "Um, I would say it's October 3rd!"

He went on to say: "It's a big day...I think its fun for the fans because its two lines in the movie. I literally turn around and ask what day is it?"

"I woke up and there were like 3,000 text messages from people like, 'WHAT DAY IS IT?!'" he yelled. "Which is nice; it's awesome because thank you to the fans, we love you."

"Do people come up to you in the street and ask you what date it is?" TMZ asked the actor.

"Like three people today - the girl who checks me into the gym was like, "Hi...do you know what day it is?...WELCOME TO MY LIFE, EVERYDAY!" he yelled.

The TMZ reporter then asked Bennett if he still talks to Lindsay Lohan, the lead in "Mean Girls." He said he didn't. But that didn't stop the TMZ reporter from showing Bennett the story about the actress losing a finger in a boating accident.

"What?!" he said, putting his hand over his mouth in shock.

"That is horrible...poor thing," he said. "Lindsay, that really sucks I'm sorry."
