The food-obsessed descend on New York City this October for the sixth annual Food Network New York City Food & Wine Festival. For those with palette fatigue or a penchant for panic attacks when wandering among the grand tasting events with a wine glass dangling from a lanyard around your neck, EDGE has scoped out three not-to-miss bespoke events that are worth their weight in extra calories.

Frenchie
A bit of Paris arrives in New York City with chef Gregory Marchand. His 24-seat bistro is all the rage in the City of Light. The multicourse menu will be grounded in French technique but also draw inspiration from Marchand's international travels to London, Hong Kong and beyond. Set at the stunning H�tel Plaza Ath�n�e and within a Bourdeaux-infused stumble to Central Park, this is one not to miss. The Art of Pickling

Anyone that has wandered a New York City farmer's market has undoubtedly stumbled across the briny goodness from Rick's Picks. Founder and pickling guru Rick Field leads a hands-on workshop on the art of pickling. From preparing a brine to pickling your own cucumbers, participants will leave with their own pickled masterpiece.
