Unicorns Gallops Onto Digital Platforms, Backed by Bars and Queens Nationwide

READ TIME: 2 MIN. SPONSORED

Fresh off its festival debut and summer run in indie theaters, Unicorns is ready to take the next step. Starting  September 23, the vibrant LGBTQ+ romance will be available to buy and rent on all major digital platforms.

Directed by Sally El Hosaini (The Swimmers) and James Krishna Floyd, the film pairs Ben Hardy (Bohemian Rhapsody) as Luke — a single dad and Essex mechanic — with Jason Patel (Sex Education) as Aysha, a British-Indian drag performer navigating a double life. Their collision sparks a story of love, identity, and unapologetic self-expression, wrapped in both grit and glitter.

Watch Parties: From WeHo to Stonewall

To mark the digital launch, Unicorns is taking over LGBTQ+ nightlife across the U.S. with bar watch parties and drag-fueled celebrations. Confirmed stops include:

- Micky’s | West Hollywood | Sept 24
- Cocktail | St. Pete | Sept 29
- Rain on 4th | Austin | Sept 30
- Stonewall Inn | NYC | Oct 1
- Urban Mo’s | San Diego | Oct 2
- TRADE | Washington DC | Oct 6
- Lookout | San Francisco | Oct 9
- Bar Argon | Charlotte | Oct 12

More venues are being added daily, turning the release into a grassroots, coast-to-coast queer celebration.

A Drag-Backed Movement

The U.S. drag community has also thrown its weight behind Unicorns,  amplifying the film’s #ComeAsYouAre campaign — a call to authenticity, identity, and joy that lives both on-screen and across social feeds.

Whether you stream it at home, gather at your local queer bar, or share your story online, Unicorns invites you to be part of the movement:
