No new trial for Barry Scott
The July 14, 2007 ordeal surrounding Boston LGBT activist and nationally known radio personality Barry Scott continued on Monday when Orleans District Court Judge Brian Merrick denied a motion for a new trial. Merrick oversaw last year's trial of Barry Scott. ?

David Scondras sues Lawrence P.D. over 2006 teen sex arrest
On Oct. 9, 2006, former City Councilor David Scondras was arrested in a parking lot near Lawrence General Hospital for soliciting sex with a minor. Scondras, the first openly gay City Councilor in Boston, is now suing the Lawrence Police Department, alleging that he was severely beaten by police officers and then denied medical treatment.
'Stop Trans Pathologization' campaign kicks off Oct. 17
The Trans Depathologization Network, a group committed to the removal of 'gender identity disorder' from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders and the World Health Organization's International Classification of Diseases, has been joined by seven international networks and 161 trans groups in the two weeks leading up to its campaign kick-off on Oct. 17.
Exhibition of AIDS activism in visual media coming to Harvard
ACT UP New York: Activism, Art and the AIDS Crisis, 1987 - 1993, a new exhibition at the Harvard Art Museum's Carpenter Center, includes posters, stickers, and other visual media that were conceived in the midst of the AIDS crisis. The art is a presentation of almost a decade of AIDS activism efforts in New York City.

GLAD opposes elimination of written consent for HIV testing

Provincetown's first annual Restaurant Week ready to set sail!
Twenty Provincetown restaurants will "set their tables" for the town's 1st Annual Restaurant Week. Participating restaurants will offer three-course (appetizer, entrée, and dessert) prix fixe dinners at either $25 or $35; excludes gratuity, alcohol and tax.
