Writer-director Marion Hill lays bare the anguish and inspiration of love with "Ma Belle, My Beauty." Fred (Lucien Guignard), a musician, is worried about his wife, Bertie (Idella Johnson), a singer who's lost interest in music, so he invites their former polyamorous partner Lane (Hannah Pepper) to join them at their home in the French countryside in hopes of reviving Bertie's creative spark — but it might be dangerous to rekindle that romantic flame.

"Ma Belle, My Beauty" shows at Frameline45 starting June 12.
