After his Netflix series "Jupiter's Legacy" was canceled on Wednesday, actor Josh Duhamel posted a cheeky selfie on Instagram to let the entertainment industry know he was available. Co-star Andrew Horton also weighed in.

After his Netflix series "Jupiter's Legacy" was canceled on Wednesday, actor Josh Duhamel posted a cheeky IG to let the entertainment industry know he was available.

In the shirtless pic, 48-year old Duhamel is seen in hair and makeup as his character Sheldon Sampson, he wrote: "When you get dumped by @netflix and have to put yourself back out there.... #sexysantasummer." He then added: "What's up, @hulu ?"

The series cancellation came as "new figures released Thursday by Nielsen show that the comic book adventure was the top original series on Netflix between May 3 and 9, its premiere week," writes the Daily Mail.

"The adaptation of Mark Millar's superhero comic pulled in 696 million minutes of viewing time in the week of May 3-9 (it premiered May 7), edging out Hulu's 'The Handmaid's Tale' (690 million) for the No. 1 ranking among original series on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon's Prime Video and Disney," reports the Hollywood Reporter

Millar, who also created the series, tweeted on Wednesday that "there would not be another season of 'Jupiter's Legacy' and shared that instead he and Netflix are moving forward with a live-action show 'Supercrooks,'" adds the Daily Mail.

"I'm really proud of what the team achieved with 'Jupiter's Legacy' and the amazing work everyone did on that origin season," Millar said in his tweet.

"I've been asked a lot about what we're planning next with this world, and the answer is to see what the supervillains are getting up to."

He added: "Supervillains are always the most fun part of any superhero story. To do something exclusively focused on the villains they fight just feels incredibly fresh as we explore what it's like to be a bad guy in a world crawling with good guys who want to put you in jail."

The new series explores the supervillains of MillarWorld, which was acquired by Netflix in 2017.

Duhamel's co-star on "Jupiter's Legacy" Andrew Horton also IG'd his disappointment with the cancellation.

"I'm gutted," he wrote.

"'Jupiter's Legacy' was a once in a lifetime experience and one I will never forget. I'm sad and sorry that we don't get to continue this journey. I feel as though we had barely scratched the surface with this one, but as the inimitable Jim Carey once said 'that's the way the cookie crumbles'

"A huge thank you to every single person involved in this titan of a project; we should be incredibly proud of what we created, regardless of the outcome.

"Thank you to @netflix for the opportunity.

"Thank you to @mrmarkmillar for creating Jupiter's Legacy.'

"Thank you to Steven DeKnight for taking a chance on a nobody.
Thank you to everyone who has watched the show.

"On to the next one," he concluded.
