Snooki & JWOWW - Season 2
The "Jersey Shore" antics may be over. Sadly Superstorm Sandy made sure that the New Jersey, seaside home of the crazy cast of meatballs and Guidos we've all come to know and love on the MTV reality show, was washed out to sea - leaving no trace of six seasons of situations and DTFs.
Fortunately for everyone suffering withdrawal from not getting enough of these pseudo celebrity simpletons, "Snooki & Jwoww" are back for another season of their own spin-off series. Unfortunately a domesticated Nicole "Snooki" and Jenni "Jwoww" aren't all that much fun sans all the other dastardly distractions and drama usually found at the beach house.
Although in "real life" Nicole has already given birth to Baby Lorenzo, her spawn with choice juicehead and camera-shy fiancée Jionni, the show follows the rounding out Snook through her last several weeks of pregnancy. It's difficult to judge whether this is a good thing or not. Even out-of-control reality show celebrities grow up - but in the case of these ladies they've grown up and grown bland.
Jenni has moved in with her gorilla juicehead, Roger who fans have come to know from their blooming romance on the original series. Now Jenni wants (and hopes) that Roger will take things to the next level. The supreme highlight of the premiere episode is Roger taking a nosedive on his couch and Jwoww getting no respect from her cable customer service rep - a little table tossing and bottle throwing would be a welcome distraction to all the baby bump bitching that's going on. Even Jwoww is getting tired of the expectations of being a fairy godmother to Snooki's little Lorenzo, so imagine how the audience is going to feel.
What does make the show so irreverent is the sincere amount of love between the ladies and the joy they have in spending time together along with their fiancés in tow. That genuine affection can't be phony - everything else is un-interestingly suspect.
